A trip through the Made in Italy

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Within the new project “International Summer School” organized by the Catholic University of Milan and coordinated by Professor Giulia Gibertoni, Max Mara was honored to host at the Headquarters in Reggio Emilia a group of American students coming from different universities of Business and Communication.
Focus of the day was the notion of contemporary Made in Italy, especially in relation to its most strategic elements, such as the vital link to the brand’s historical values , the excellence in product manufacturing, the attention for details and, of course, constant innovation.
In the morning with Mr. Giuseppe Bacci, CEO of Factory St. Maurizio, a Max Mara Group company, our guests could experience firsthand the culture of quality that mirrors Max Mara fundamental values and core philosophy, thus tangibly approaching the very basis of contemporary Made in Italy.
The visit went on to the Group Library then to the Vintage and Historical Archive, where Laura Lusuardi, Fashion Coordinator of Max Mara Fashion Group, narrated the historical roots of the Group, from the foundation of Max Mara in 1951, introducing the various brands and finally focusing both on the present state of the art and on future perspectives.

We are proud to report this following feedback among the many:

“The group was amazed to discover how the heritage of traditional know-how and techniques, along with constant research and innovation, do produce the unexpected result of a timeless elegance.
There’s no livelier way to experience the beauty of the Made in Italy”.
