Max Mara Fashion Group at the third edition of the Career Day in Parma

On Thursday 14th May, we took part in the Career Day organised by the professors and students of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Parma.
The entire day was marked by the interest and engagement demonstrated by both the companies and the final year students present, and we were able to collect the CVs of over 200 potential candidates interested in working for the Group.

From the next few weeks onwards, we will be meeting the students again for the second stage of the recruitment interviews.

Max Mara Fashion Group meets the students of the Alma Graduate School in Bologna

Tuesday 12th May, the Max Mara Fashion Group’s Schools and Universities Project Team meets the students of the Alma Graduate School in Bologna on the Master course in Business Management, specialising in Retail and Made in Italy and Communications and Marketing.

Max Mara Fashion Group and Alma, the Graduate School of Information Technology, Management and Communications in Bologna, have been cooperating for years in the training and identification of talents to take on in the company.
In the week following the presentation, selection interviews will be organised for students interested in Work Placements in our company.

In collaboration with the IED (European Institute of Design), we have organized a Career Day in Milan dedicated to Max Mara Fashion Group, to be held on 27/04/2009 starting at 10 AM.
Our experts in human resources will meet students about to complete the three-year and master courses of Moda Lab and the courses of fashion communications, fashion marketing, fashion buyer and visual merchandising, and will select those students interested in an end-of-course work experience at the companies of Max Mara Fashion Group.

Clothing and Fashion Design: 5th Edition

The participants in the 5th Edition of the “Clothing and Fashion Design” Course are completing the theory section with great enthusiasm and positive results. During the months of May and June they will be involved in the work placements planned in the various Design Offices of the companies belonging to the Max Mara Fashion Group.

Last February 20th, at Polimoda in Florence, Max Mara Fashion Group met the students of Masters and University courses in marketing. We are sincerely grateful for the attention that they have dedicated to our Company.

Following our careers guidance encounter in which we gave a presentation of the professional figures employed with us, twenty students applied for a work placement with the companies in the Max Mara Fashion Group.
Evaluation interviews are currently under way with our human resources specialists to define the details of  work placements.

Clothing and Fashion Designer

The fifth edition of the “Clothing and Fashion Designer” course 2008-2009 started in October 2008 and will end in July 2009. The course is promoted by the Fondazione Giulia Maramotti in collaboration with Cis - Business Management School. A work placement in the companies of the Max Mara Group is foreseen at the end of the course.
The post- diploma/ graduate course aims to train professional profiles with competences in the coordination and design of collections and with the skills to carry out the different activities of a Style Department.

Max Mara Womenswear Design Prize

The Max Mara Womenswear Design Prize is a competition in collaboration with the British Fashion Council to select three students from the most prestigious English design schools; the three winning students will win a fully paid design placement at Max Mara between June and September 2009.
Students are asked to carry out a research project on one of the Max Mara Group collections and to develop a new direction for the collection proposing 10 looks.
The winners will be announced on 22 January 2009 and will be selected by a panel of Max Mara and British fashion Council representatives and important fashion journalists.

Secondary School Guidance - Careers day

Guidance in the choice to make after the first two years of secondary school, in cooperation with the Itis Nobili School in Reggio Emilia.
Presentation of the three year professional course for clothing technologists, promoted and developed with the support of Max Mara Group. The presentation describes training and job opportunities available in the fashion sector.
The presentations shall be held at the Max Mara Group Campus in the first two weeks of December and people working at Max Mara will share their experiences.

Middle School Guidance

Vocational guidance meetings organised by MaxMara Group in collaboration with the Association of Industrialists of Reggio Emilia for third year middle school students. The event was entitled Going to High-School - Guidance for students to help them make an informed choice; with the contribution of MaxMara Fashion Group, organised by the Corporate Human Resources dept.
Different types of events were carried out in December 2008 and involved students of the Middle Schools in Bagnolo in Piano, Casina, Scandiano and the schools Fermi/Manzoni, Marco Emilio Lepido in Reggio Emilia.
