The fifth edition of the “Clothing and Fashion Designer” course 2008-2009 started in October 2008 and will end in July 2009. The course is promoted by the Fondazione Giulia Maramotti in collaboration with Cis – Business Management School. A work placement in the companies of the Max Mara Group is foreseen at the end of the course.
The post- diploma/ graduate course aims to train professional profiles with competences in the coordination and design of collections and with the skills to carry out the different activities of a Style Department.

The Max Mara Womenswear Design Prize is a competition in collaboration with the British Fashion Council to select three students from the most prestigious English design schools; the three winning students will win a fully paid design placement at Max Mara between June and September 2009.
Students are asked to carry out a research project on one of the Max Mara Group collections and to develop a new direction for the collection proposing 10 looks.
The winners will be announced on 22 January 2009 and will be selected by a panel of Max Mara and British fashion Council representatives and important fashion journalists.

Guidance in the choice to make after the first two years of secondary school, in cooperation with the Itis Nobili School in Reggio Emilia.
Presentation of the three year professional course for clothing technologists, promoted and developed with the support of Max Mara Group. The presentation describes training and job opportunities available in the fashion sector.
The presentations shall be held at the Max Mara Group Campus in the first two weeks of December and people working at Max Mara will share their experiences.

Vocational guidance meetings organised by MaxMara Group in collaboration with the Association of Industrialists of Reggio Emilia for third year middle school students. The event was entitled Going to High-School – Guidance for students to help them make an informed choice; with the contribution of MaxMara Fashion Group, organised by the Corporate Human Resources dept.
Different types of events were carried out in December 2008 and involved students of the Middle Schools in Bagnolo in Piano, Casina, Scandiano and the schools Fermi/Manzoni, Marco Emilio Lepido in Reggio Emilia.

Max Mara Fashion Group together with IED Moda Lab in Milan, organised a structured Project Work from May 2008 to October 2008.
Some students of the IED English language Master’s degree in Fashion Marketing and Visual Merchandising were involved in a thesis project on the visual communication and brand positioning of the Sportmax Code brand. The Visual Merchandising Factory, Sportmax Code style department and the Corporate Human Resources function cooperated in this project for Max Mara Fashion Group; for IED Moda Lab the student’s work was coordinated by the marketing professor and master’s degree coordinator Delphine Dumas.Students successfully presented their theses in Milan on 23/10/2008, before IED and Max Mara Fashion Group staff.
